Figs Wrapped in Prosciutto
Figs Wrapped in Prosciutto is so simple you do not really require a recipe. It relies on the beautiful flavour of figs in season. The quantities will depend on the size of the figs, so you’ll have to estimate.
Preparation time: 10 minutes
4 fresh figs, approx
4 – 8 thin slices prosciutto
- Cut the fresh figs into quarters or eighths if they are large.
- Remove any rind from the prosciutto and cut each slice into three or four pieces.
- They should be large enough to wrap around a fig segment.
Wine: A rose has enough body to handle the prosciutto without overpowering the fig.
