Connecting at the Table

A culinary initiative that transcends traditional dining.

Lyndey Milan redefines the table as a place of shared stories and memories, not just meals. This vision sees food as a powerful catalyst for connection, breaking cultural and social barriers and bringing people closer in the most universal way – through shared meals.

Lyndey’s approach nourishes not just the body but the mind and soul, creating an enriching dining experience that goes beyond culinary delights. Her philosophy celebrates diversity, with each dish representing a tapestry of global flavours and traditions, inviting guests to embark on a cultural and sensory journey. This initiative is also about building communities, as Lyndey emphasises local produce and regional cuisines, nurturing a sense of pride and connection while supporting local artisans and preserving culinary heritage.

“Connecting At The Table” is Lyndey’s vision for the future of dining, where traditional practices meet modern trends, appealing to contemporary tastes while remaining authentic and soulful.

This concept is not just about enjoying food; it’s about understanding the stories behind each dish and the people who share the meal. Join us in this unique culinary adventure, where every meal is a discovery, and every gathering is a cherished memory in the making. With Lyndey Milan, dining is an exploration of the world and ourselves, a celebration of connection and culture at every table.

NAIDOC Week is a powerful reminder to celebrate the world’s oldest living culture, honouring the stories, knowledge and creativity of First Nations peoples.

This week, I feel especially grateful to share space with my dear friend, Indigenous chef Mark Olive (Black Olive Australia), a true pioneer in Australian cuisine whose work continues to champion native ingredients and cultural storytelling through food.

Moments like these are about connection, respect, and continuing to learn from voices that carry such deep knowledge and history. From Country to kitchen, Mark’s work is a beautiful reminder that food is more than nourishment; it’s story, identity, and legacy.

Proud to celebrate NAIDOC Week in spirit and in conversation with those who continue to lead with culture, pride and generosity.

Lyon had me at bonjour! 🇫🇷

Yes, it's famous as the gastronomic capital of France, but centuries ago it was also the centre of the country's silk industry, so this beautiful city has always had a flair for the finer things.

Then there are the legendary bouchons... cosy little bistros serving traditional Lyonnaise cuisine. They're all about using every part of the animal, so let's just say you might spot a little offal on the menu. 😉 I am a fan and I tasted it with Chef Pierre as my guide, and when in Lyon...!

Beautiful streets, fascinating history, fabulous food and plenty of laughs along the way. I can absolutely see why this city steals so many hearts.

Would you be brave enough to order the offal, or are you sticking to dessert? 🍷🥖❤️

An evening wander through Vienne from the cruise, where the past and present seem to be sharing the same stage. 🌙

Up above the town, an open-air pop concert for 8,000 people was in full swing on an ancient site, music echoing over Roman ruins like it’s all perfectly normal (and somehow, it was).

Down below, a Roman temple still stands quietly watching it all, while I’m somewhere in between ancient history and a very modern soundtrack wondering how many eras one evening can hold.

Morocco has long held a special place in my heart. ❤️

From the fragrant spice markets and colourful souks to the slow-cooked tagines and warm hospitality, Moroccan food tells the story of a culture rich in history, tradition and flavour.

It's a cuisine that celebrates the simple pleasures of gathering around a table, sharing stories and discovering new tastes, something I've always loved but especially with travel.

As I prepare to return to this extraordinary country, I'm reminded of why Moroccan food continues to inspire me. From saffron and preserved lemons to cinnamon, cumin and fresh herbs, every dish is a journey in itself.

If you'd like to discover more about why I love Moroccan food, I've shared my thoughts in a blog post.

And if Morocco has been on your travel wish list, there are still a few places available to join me on our unforgettable Moroccan adventure this October. But be quick as this will probably be my last tour to this wonderful country.
